Birch Grove Day Nursery is a small, friendly, family run nursery, offering high quality childcare for children from 3 months up to 5 years. We are situated in beautiful grounds sharing a site with Brook Acre Primary School and the Orchards Children Centre.
We work closely with Brook Acre Primary School, providing wraparound care and a Link Club facilities for children attending Brook Acre Nursery and Primary School. We also work very closely with the team at Brook Acre to ensure continuity and smooth transitions for children attending both settings.

Offering spacious areas that are fully equipped with plentiful resources suitable to support the delivery of age-appropriate care, education and play. All staff are highly qualified, DBS checked and committed to providing the best possible care and education for all of our children.
When you visit Birch Grove, the first thing you are likely to notice is the welcoming, friendly team and homely environment. It is this unique aspect which our parents comment on most and one which we actively encourage to help our children feel they are safe, loved and have a strong sense of belonging.
Our Baby Room caters for babies aged 3 months to 2 years, looked after by our two full-time staff members. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage, we offer a home from home environment providing a caring, loving place for babies to develop and grow. Our Nursery room caters for children aged 2 -5 years. Our large, open space provides children with a beautiful, light and spacious room with free-flow access to the outdoors as well as resources, equipment and materials to stimulate and support early learning, creativity and curiosity. The layout of the room enables children to move around freely from area to area accessing the many activities provided throughout the session. We welcome children with Special Educational Needs, disabilities, specific dietary requirements or who speak English as a Second Language.
Our large outdoor space allows children free-flow access to a huge, secure space comprising grass and hills, sheltered areas, hard surface for bike riding and a small forest area to explore. A separate, enclosed Baby Garden provides our babies with a safe space to enjoy daily time outdoors, developing their physical skills and exploring nature. Read more…
